We collect information about businesses to facilitate the sale and purchase of telecommunications services. Some of this is called “Nonpublic Business Information”, which generally means information that is provided by you, obtained by us, or that results from your transactions with us. It does not include information available to the general public. The type of information we collect varies according to the products or services you request and/or per the informational needs the carrier you’re ordering services from and may include:
- Carrier Account Setup Information: This is information we may receive from you in order to order/create a new account with a telecommunications carrier. It may include your building’s address, your mailing address (for the bills to be mailed to) and/or the business’ Fed Tax ID as required by some carriers.
- Business Contact Information: This is information about you the business’ contact to the carrier. It includes, but is not limited to, your name, work email address, and telephone number and position/title.
Parties to Whom We May Disclose Information
Nonpublic Business Information about a business and/or your Business Contact information may be disclosed to others as permitted by law. Generally, this includes disclosures to third parties that are necessary to effect, administer or enforce your transaction with us, or in connection with servicing your telecommunications accounts and services. These parties may include, but are not limited to, carrier repair technicians and/or carrier Technical Support representatives.
We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to guard your Nonpublic Business Information.
